Monsters on the lawn
Fred. FRED! They're on the lawn again!This illustration started as character design for dracula and just kept growing. I wanted to incorporate simple shapes for overall design such as triangle for Dracula, square for Frankenstein, and curves for the wicked witch. I really enjoyed the process of Van Gogh-ish style mark making though it's very labor intensive. Sometimes I forget how powerful simple mark making can be to define volume, texture and color.
